About Us

Software North is an Australian Company founded in 1986 and located in Northern NSW.

In its early days Software North developed several applications including a Building Application (DA) Management system which was used extensively in both Australia and New Zealand. In 1999 Software North was commissioned to review the TriMicro Aged Care Products for their millennium bug potential and subsequently formed an alliance with TriMicro.

Software North now concentrates on the development of top quality and affordable products for the Australian Aged Care Industry. We are very proud to be wholly responsible for the development of the TriMicro suite of Aged Care software applications.

The Software North Bureau was born to service the needs of our clients who:

  • Believed in what our software could offer them but did not want to run it in-house.
  • Those who are in-house users but needed to facilitate staff holidays, sick leave or periods of staff changes.

Our bureau seamlessly handles the needs of our clients in a professional, timely, no hassle manner.

Our Bureau Service is an integral part of our business. It means that our support staff are using the TriMicro Products and know them inside-out, they can talk your language and they know the answers.
Since we are continually interested in making our products as efficient as possible suggestions from our Clients and our Bureau Staff contribute to the development of the TriMicro suite.

 

Our Future

Given that we are a small private company, potential clients sometimes question as to whether we will be here for the long-term.

The question we feel is by and large answered by our track record to date, we have been around for a little while already - certainly longer than some! TriMicro has been synonymous with Aged Care software since 1981 and Software North has been developing software since 1986, we intend to be here for the foreseeable future and we are committed to the Australian Aged Care Industry.

We have an expanding client base supported by an experienced team of professionals - we are here for the long term!

Professional Staff

The business of Software North is structured into two areas: Software Development for the Aged Care Sector and Bureau Services to the Aged Care Sector.

 

Software Development

We build and maintain the TriMicro suite of software application to meet the needs of the ever changing Aged Care Sector. In order to do this we have a small staff providing administration, technical expertise, programming and support. Backing up this core staff is a team of computer professionals contracted for specific expertise.

We believe that there is no such thing as a "Computer Expert", we do not profess to know it all but, if there is a problem, we will seek the person with the experience and expertise necessary to solve that problem.

 

Software North Bureau

Our Professional, experienced bureau staff have many years experience in the production of Resident Accounts, Departmental Claims and Payroll and are conversant with all Aged Care State Awards. They have an in-depth knowledgeable in all our TriMicro products, rest assured you are in good hands.

 

Opportunities in the local market

Most of Software North's clients are not local and likewise there is no need for our contractors to be local. If you have skills that we could use then please contact us.

Since our clients expect us to finish projects in a cost effective and timely manner. We expect the following from the people we contract:
